The Rebirth of a Festival

After a two-year hiatus, the Gentse Feesten returned in 2022 with the theme of 'Rebirth.' As the design agency behind this campaign, we were tasked with capturing the festival's renewal and the spirit of Ghent. Inspired by Nicolas Poussin’s The Assumption of the Virgin, we reimagined it with Roland as the central figure, symbolizing hope and revival.

The campaign featured local personalities, including musician Roland and burlesque artist Zoe Bizoe, representing the festival's inclusivity. We created a cohesive visual identity that spanned posters, digital media, and event materials, igniting a sense of unity and celebration in Ghent after a challenging time.

The 2022 Gentse Feesten was not just a return; it was a celebration of resilience, diversity, and culture. We were proud to contribute to this vibrant rebirth.
